Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP)
Enhanced External Counterpulsation, or EECP for short, is a safe and effective outpatient treatment most commonly used to treat stable angina. The unique mechanisms of action from which EECP derives its effects have led researchers to test its viability in the treatment of a variety of non-cardiac conditions in recent decades, including erectile dysfunction, ischemic eye disease, stroke, restless legs syndrome, and more recently, long COVID.
